Efficient managers should not essentially true leaders. Many administrators, supervisors, and even prime executives execute their responsibilities efficiently without being great leaders. However these positions afford opportunity for leadership. The ability to lead effectively, then, will set the wonderful managers other than the average ones.

Where as administration must deal with the continuing, day-to-day complicatedities of organizations, true leadership includes successfully orchestrating necessary change. While managing requires planning and budgeting routines, leading contains setting the direction (creating a vision) for the agency Administration requires structuring the group, staffing it with capable folks, and monitoring activities; leadership goes past these capabilities by inspiring folks to realize the vision. Nice leaders keep people centered on moving the organization toward its very best future, motivating them to over come whatever obstacles lie within the way.

Organizations succeed or fail not only because of how well they are led but in addition because of how well followers follow. Just as managers will not be necessarily good leaders, persons are not always good followers. The simplest followers are capable of independent thinking and on the same time are actively committed to organizational goals. As a manager, you can be asked to play the roles of each leader and follower. As you lead the people who report to you, you will report to your boss. You may be a member of some groups and committees, and you might chair others. Efficient followers are

distinguished from ineffective ones by their enthusiasm and commitment to the organization and to a person or objective aside from themselves or their own interests. They master skills that are useful to their organizations, they usually hold to performance standards that are higher than required. To be a superb leader you have to turn out to be a great follower first.
